Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Gracewell ("Gracewell," "we," "our," or "us") handles information when you use the app. Gracewell is developed by Rich Code Studio.
1. Information Stored on Your Device
Gracewell stores most app data locally on your device.
- Journal entries, written prayers, saved verses, reading positions, carried items, bookmarks, and app preferences.
- Editorial content such as guided paths, prayer packs, curated passages, and other bundled resources.
- Voice reflection transcripts and, if you choose to keep them, local audio files stored on your device.
2. Together and iCloud / CloudKit
Gracewell's optional Together features use Apple iCloud / CloudKit to support invites, shared prayer, shared sessions, shared reflections, and shared story items.
- Together syncing depends on your Apple ID and iCloud availability.
- Gracewell does not require a separate Rich Code Studio account for Together.
- If you share content in Together, that content may become visible to the invited person you chose to connect with.
- If iCloud is unavailable or restricted, Together invite and sync features may not function.
3. Bible Reading and App Content
Gracewell includes bundled Scripture-related content and offline Bible support. Your translation preference, reading position, and saved Scripture items are stored locally on your device.
4. Microphone and Speech Recognition
Gracewell may request access to the microphone and Apple speech recognition so you can speak reflections and prayers into the journal.
- Audio is not saved unless you choose to keep it on your device.
- Speech recognition processing is provided by Apple system services.
5. Notifications
Gracewell may send local reminders and, where configured, remote notifications related to Together activity or prayer/session events. Notification preferences are stored locally on your device.
6. Purchases and Subscriptions
Subscriptions and payments are handled by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment card or billing information.
7. Analytics and Diagnostics
Gracewell may record limited product analytics and rely on Apple crash/performance diagnostics to improve reliability, feature quality, and stability.
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We do not use third-party advertising SDKs inside Gracewell.
8. Third-Party and Platform Services
- Apple iCloud / CloudKit for optional Together syncing and storage under your Apple account.
- Apple StoreKit for subscriptions, purchases, and restore purchases.
- Apple speech recognition and notification services when those features are used.
9. Data Deletion and Control
- You can delete app content from within Gracewell where supported by the relevant feature flow.
- If iCloud is enabled, related Gracewell data may also exist in your iCloud account, which you can manage from Apple's iCloud settings.
- You can disable permissions such as microphone, speech recognition, and notifications at the system level in iOS Settings.
10. Children's Privacy
Gracewell is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date when changes are made.
